Swiatek was 'worried' before Kudermetova win despite dominant win: "I'm glad that I could play the smart way"

Iga Swiatek was worried before stepping out to play Kudermetova but it proved to be without reason as she utterly dominated her opponent in a 6-0 6-1 win.

Swiatek is in the final of the WTA event in Doha. She played two matches to get there with the other match being a WO against Bencic. So far she's lost only two games in two matches which is more than impressive. We've grown accustomed to performances like these from her but even for her, this is impressive.

She was worried about the rather windy conditiosn in Doha lately but it worked out well:

"I was pretty worried about how I was going to compete with the conditions today, so I'm glad that I could play the smart way. I'm pretty happy that I was so solid.

She'll face Pegula in the final, a player who smashed her at the United Cup 6-2 6-2. Today is a chance for revenge and she's looking forward to it:

"It always takes a lot to win against Jessie. She's a great player, a really solid one. We'll see, honestly. I'm not going to predict anything or over-analyze. I'm just going to go out and play my best tennis, and we'll see."
