They join Australia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary and Spain with the latter qualifying earlier today with victory over Japan.
The former defeated Canada in a 3-1 win with Jil Teichmann the star of the show on home soil. She defeated Leylah Annie Fernandez in the first rubber; in a 7-6, 6-4 victory to make it 1-0.
Belinda Bencic then eased past Gaby Dabrowski in a 6-1, 6-2 victory. The latter had to be put into singles action; due to an injury to Genie Bouchard and Bianca Andreescu not being 100 percent fit for singles action.
Bencic had two matches in a row though; this threw the tie back open with Fernandez, the young Canadian claiming a brilliant 6-2, 7-6 win over the World No.5.
It was all up to Teichmann and Dabrowski; it was the former who defeated the doubles specialist in a valiant effort from the Canadian 6-3, 6-4.
Germany also eased through defeating Brazil in a 3-0 win. Laura Siegemund was the main star for them. She claimed the first tie 6-3, 6-3 against Teliana Pereira.
From there Tatjana Maria took to the court for singles action defeating Gabriela Ce in a 6-3, 7-6 win. The latter played again against Siegemund but it was a bridge too far as she eased through 6-1, 6-2 to claim qualification.
