Ticket prices at grand slams such as
Roland Garros (French Open) are rather high and today's slate on Phillipe Chatrier wasn't that spectacular, probably not worth the money.
It was supposed to be a great one with the first match between Rybakina and Sorribes Tormo promising to be a long one. The Spaniard likes to extend rallies and matches however this match wasn't long because it never took place. Moments before the players were supposed to take to the courts, the Kazakh player pulled out of the event due to an illness.
The next match was a pretty solid one between Rune and Olivier but it wasn't particularly competitive and lasted just two hours. Rune dominated the match and advanced. Iga Swiatek took to the courts next and she absolutely crushed her opponent with two bagels. The match lasted only 51 minutes which again wasn't that great.
In the end, you ended up paying 150 to 300 euros for about 3 hours of tennis which isn't ideal for the fans. Not much that the organizers can do about it but just an overall unideal situation for all.
