Tennis to fashion: Haddad Maia new smashing ace on GQ Brazil cover!

Brazilian tennis star Beatriz Haddad Maia continues to reap the benefits of her successful 2023 season, as she graced the cover of GQ Brasil after being labeled their Woman of the Year.

The World No.11 accomplished several milestones in 2023, many of which were a career-best and proved vital in her ascending the WTA rankings. All of this led to Haddad Maia being honored with a cover page and spread in GQ Brasil.

The 27-year old won her first WTA 1000 doubles title in Madrid earlier in the year, teaming up with two-time Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka. Subsequently, she was a semifinalist at the French Open before reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon, all of which were personal bests. Her impressive performances saw her break into the Top 10, the first time in her career.

After a difficult hard-court season, Haddad Maia ended the year by lifting the title at the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai. The Brazilian was recognized for her accomplishments, as she has also been nominated for athlete of the year in her homeland of Brazil.
