Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard shed some light on her unique dancing technique following Canada's victory at the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals on Sunday.
The former Wimbledon runner-up was part of a strong Canadian team that defeated Italy in the final of the Billie Jean King Cup, spurring her teammates to victory as she cheered on from the sidelines during the final.

Bouchard gives reason for poor dancing skills

During the final, the former World No.5 was seen cheering her teammates. Although she did not play in the final, Bouchard was very vocal during each match, and even attempted to will her team to victory by performing the 'Macarena' dance.
Following Canada's victory, Bouchard gave some insight into the team spirit and camaraderie.
"I also did the Macarena with Gaby, I think, who was leading me," she said. "I was actually following her, because I wasn't even sure how to do it. She's, like, 'That's what happens when you play tennis for 20 years. You don't learn other skills. It's been so fun. These girls are really fun to be with, and we all believe in each other and are able to relax."
Additionally, she spoke on how relaxed her teammates appeared on the morning of the final.
"This morning when I came into the locker room, everyone was in such a good mood and everyone was so relaxed," she added. "I was actually almost a bit surprised. It was finals day. I love the atmosphere of this team, and it gave me so much confidence in the girls that were going to play today."
