"The biggest difference was confidence" - Serena breaks down victory over Ahn at Roland Garros

Serena Williams defeated Kristie Ahn at the Roland Garros yesterday and after the match, she broke down what happened on the court while speaking to the media.

It wasn't a perfect outing for Serena Williams at the Roland Garros yesterday but the American is through to the next round which is the most important thing. When asked to sum up the match she simply said:

"The biggest difference was just confidence. I just need to play with more confidence, like I'm Serena. So that was it. I just started playing like that, and I love the clay and I started playing like it, opening the court and moving and sliding."

When asked about what she was doing specifically with her play she simply said that she was changing the way she thinks of the game saying:

"I have to let go of that expectations. That doesn't mean I'm lowering my expectations. It just means I'm having realistic expectations of not winning every point, every game, every shot."

Her next opponent will be Tsvetana Pironkova who eased past Andrea Petkovic earlier yesterday. When asked about that match Serena said:

"She's playing well, but I am too. I'm ready to play her. She'll be ready to play me. It will be a long match, she will get a lot of balls back, but so am I. I'll be ready."

It should be a very good match between two players who play fascinating styles of tennis. They will both be ready and so will we with a report for you.
