Roland Garros 2020 Tuesday Schedule of play with Djokovic and Kenin stepping onto the red clay

The 3rd day of the Roland Garros will see new faces stepping onto the red clay and amongst them, none are more familiar than those of Novak Djokovic and Sofia Kenin.

The 3rd day of Roland Garros brings us more quality tennis from the clay courts of Paris with more than 30 matches scheduled to go ahead. There is always the risk of rain as in the previous days but hopefully, the weather understands the need for quality tennis on clay which there will be in abundance.

Novak Djokovic gets his Roland Garros campaign underway with a match against Ymer from Sweden. The young Swede isn't in great form but playing against Novak should always be a fun experience. Another big name entering the event in form is Stefanos Tsitsipas who will play against Jaume Munar. The Spaniard is looking better and better lately and on clay, he is always dangerous.

The programme kicks off with a match between upcoming starts in Alexei Popyrin and George Harris from South Africa. It should close with another interesting matchup between Shapovalov and Simon later in the day.

Looking towards the WTA side of the event we will see Sofia Kenin on the courts against Samsonova from Russia. Kenin hasn't played much on clay but she is eager to prove her name belongs amongst the best in the world with a good run in Paris. Karolina Pliskova will also be on the courts against Sherif from Egypt. The Czech player is eager to return to stellar form on her favourite surface and what better way than at the biggest clay stage in the world.
