Emma Raducanu has brushed off suggestions that she feels a tremendous amount of pressure due to other people's expectations of her.
Speaking in a recent interview Raducanu was adamanat that outside pressure does not bother her because she does not care what expectations other people have of her. She confirmed that once more by saying:
"I feel like people are gonna have opinions and expectations of me, but I don't really think about that. To me, it doesn't matter."
She then clarified her position by explaining a bit more in depth:
"To me the things that matter are the expectations of myself and what I want to achieve and what I want to get out of the day. It's just about improving and seeing yourself get better and I don't take anyone else's opinions into account except for my close circle."
Raducanu will be travelling around the Tour for the first time in 2022 and she can't wait. She explained that she enjoys doing exciting things because she is a bit of a adrenaline junkie. She said:
"I'm a big adrenaline junkie. I have my driver's licence but I'm a big motorsports fan so maybe get my motorbike licence - something speedy and fun."
