With a permanent move away from the tennis court imminent, Danielle Collins is looking out for someone to spend the rest of her life with away from the court. She has set some specific requirements, and it is not good news if you are a 'short king.'
The American has not stepped out on court since her opening round defeat at her home Grand Slam event in New York. He was suffering from a herniated disc in her back which was affecting her overall game and causing her a lot of pain and trouble. While she skipped the Asian Swing and in fact the rest of 2025, it is unclear how much longer she has on court. While saying that he is calling it quits at the end of the season, she has not announced her immediate retirement yet. It was supposed to her last year on court in 2024, but health complications forced her to continue for at least another year.

Collins in the dating world

The 31-year-old was in a previous relationship with Bryan Kipp. The pair met at a coffee shop in Wimbledon, with Kipp not realising at first that Collins was a tennis player, something that she enjoyed. They would become a couple, with Kipp supporting Collins return to the tour in 2025 after changing her mind. This relationship would not last long, with Collins soon in the market for another man.
Following current trends, she hopped straight onto a dating app where her bio was leaked online: "Currently a professional tennis player, but kind of aspiring to be a trad wife. Straight up,' her profile reads. Already had my boss babe era. Just wanting to raise my chickens, do home projects, make freshly baked sourdough, be a stay-at-home dog mom, and hopefully pop out some babies soon. If you're going to lie about your height just leave me the f*** alone. This is a no short kings zone."
It has instantly gone viral, with many tennis fans looking on with curiosity at the statement she wrote. Whoever will inevitably be Collins partner has to abide by those terms written in, and it is bad news if you are not the height Collins expects you to be. You also must have a liking for animals, with her having chickens and dogs at home. It may also seem that all the travelling over the years has eventually got to her, with the American wanting to just stay at home. Adding to that, she wants to become a mum for the first time, something that she has had problems within the past due to endometriosis, causing her fertility problems.
On her Instagram, Collins saw how viral the statement went and decided to react to it in good humour. She wrote: "Get on a dating app they said...Someone needs to take my phone from me. Should I add anything else in there?"

In the past, she has admitted that she would be happy to go on a reality TV show to search for love, but only if they could 'afford' her. "I would consider maybe going on reality TV, but it depends," Collins said on The Gay Tennis podcast. "Like I don't know if they can afford me. Listen, you know what I mean? Cuz this is like some blockbuster entertainment right here, right? 'I mean, I would definitely consider it, but where would I be doing the Bachelorette? Like which country do you think? Like Australia."
While Collins has specifically ruled out a return to the court in 2025, there is nothing yet about 2026, with her potential partner possibly in for a year of travelling the world watching Collins compete in the biggest events as she searches to get back to the heights she once was at.
