Serena Williams is the top seeded player in this tournament. Aryna Sabalenka is no. 2 but for the former she could meet Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens en route to the final.
Amanda Anisimova and Coco Gauff are also among the top American talent on show with a meeting for the latter possible with Sabalenka in the second round.
In terms of Prize Money, due to it's stature it is the same as the Prague Open also taking place next week which involves Simona Halep. The winner will claim $25,000 with 280 points.
