Top seed Tamara Zidansek came from the brink of defeat to see off Clara Burel 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 at the Ladies Open Lausanne, an opening foray title wise on the WTA circuit for the Roland Garros semi-finalist.
Zidansek was just two points from defeat at 5-5 in the second set tiebreak but the Frenchwoman seemingly felt the nerves allowing the Slovenian ace to capitalise to claim it.
This gave her fresh impetus after losing the first set and she only dropped the first game of the third set before winning through six straight to add the WTA250 title to her collection.
This win propels her up 14 places into 36th in next week's rankings as she also heads to Gdynia with the potential for more ranking points.
