TV GUIDE: How to watch Emma Raducanu, Coco Gauff and Caroline Wozniacki at ASB Classic as 2024 season opens

The first
week of WTA competition will feature the 2024 ASB Classic, which will be played
on outdoor hard courts at the ASB Tennis Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, from
January 1-7. The tournament was first held in 1956, with Evonne Goolagong as
its most successful champion, securing three titles (1973-1975).
This marks
the first WTA 250 event of the season, and the top seeds include world No. 3
and defending champion Coco Gauff, Ukrainian players Elina Svitolina (No. 25)
and Lesia Tsurenko (No.31), and Emma Navarro.
Highly awaited comebacks
The 2021 US
Open champion, Emma Raducanu, has chosen Auckland for her comeback and received
a wildcard for the tournament after being away from the Tour for 9 months. Also
making a return after a 9-month hiatus is former world No. 21 Amanda Anisimova.
The final wildcard was granted to the 2018 Aussie Open champion, 33-year-old
Caroline Wozniacki, who returned to the Tour during the North American
hardcourt swing after a three-and-a-half-year retirement.
