The Indian Wells Masters will go ahead in 2021 after moving the date of the event to October which resulted in other events pushing back their events as well.
One such event is the Upper Austria Ladies' Linz WTA event and they just announced their new date with the event going ahead from November 6th till November 12th. The event was originally meant to be played in October but with the Masters event moving into the same week, Linz decided to reschedule its own tennis event avoiding being played at the same time.
That should be good news for fans as the chance of seeing bigger names improves with the move. Aryna Sabalenka won the event last year and she certainly would not be able to defend her title if the event moved ahead with the date they had. Tournament director Sandra Reichel briefly commented on the move saying:
"That's why I really wanted a new date. Now we have the chance for a top-class field of players.”
