Venus Williams set to continue comeback, receives wildcard for 2023 Canadian Open

Former World No.1 Venus Williams has been granted a wildcard to play at the 2023 Canadian Open, which will be held in Montreal this summer.
Coming off a first wound Wimbledon loss to Elina Svitolina, Williams will be returning to Montreal for the first time since 2018.
Williams' last appearances at Canadian Open were in 2019 and 2022 in Toronto
The seven-time Grand Slam champion received the top-20 pass, which is given to former World No. 1s, who were part of the Top 20 in 2022 or who have already won a Grand Slam tournament, the WTA Finals, or a category 1000 single event.
