Sweet 16 ✨ 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva reaches the Round of 16 in just her second-ever Grand Slam #Wimbledon
The WTA will see a brief return to clay following the conclusion of Wimbledon, with players descending upon the city of Lausanne, Switzerland for the Ladies Open Lausanne from July24-30, 2023.
A WTA 250 event, the Ladies Open Lausanne will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field. Hometown hero Belinda Bencic is expected to compete at the event, although defending champion Petra Martic is not scheduled to compete this year.
16-year old tennis prodigy Mirra Andreeva will look to resume her season, after making a Cinderella run at Wimbledon by reaching the round of 16. French veteran Alize Cornet will be present, alongside 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin.
