Victoria Azarenka now leads WTA Active Career Prize Money Leaders but Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka already close in
WTA
Victoria Azarenka is in the top 10 all-time when it comes to overall WTA Career Prize Money but the former World No.1 now has the carrot of being the top earner of active players all time. But she might not for long.
Azarenka currently sits on $38,248,302 which is ahead of Petra Kvitova who could yet usurp her if she manages to return to the kind of form which saw her become multiple Wimbledon champion and even win Miami prior to becoming a mother.
She is currently on $37,253,812 but Azarenka consistently adds money to her total and is still a top level WTA player deep into her 30's while Kvitova perhaps might not have the same mileage. Caroline Wozniacki sits third but she has not played at all this season.
Wozniacki sat out the whole of Australia and Middle East and also is not playing the Sunshine Double. Whether she decides to play the clay remains to be seen but the Dane perhaps is contemplating whether she continues her career.

It has been one of fits and starts since her sudden comeback and perhaps has been more characterised for her poor judgement regarding wildcards and lack there of than anything else. She is currently third with $36,441,868.
But perhaps the intrigue comes from those tracking Azarenka. Iga Swiatek is closing in on top spot with Aryna Sabalenka very close behind.
For reference, it will take a lot to topple Serena Williams' $94,816,730 all time but they will end up top of the active list sooner rather than later. Also they will soon usurp even Venus Williams in second as well as Simona Halep and Maria Sharapova.
This shows the current rate of prize money in the WTA compared to back in the day as well as their frightening win percentage. This too with both still being in their 20's. Coco Gauff even will soon be on the tail of both if she continues winning.
Karolina Pliskova and Elina Svitolina are the only other two in the top 15 who are still playing all time with Madison Keys and Naomi Osaka for instance not yet there.
