Bianca Andreescu prevailed in her opener at the
Bad Homburg Open but was left fuming at times after line calling came into focus again.
Andreescu hit a cross court forehand which was seen as just out but it wasn't very visible either way. Her opponent Sonay Kartel though also had some dodgy calls during the tie, which throws into question the lack of hawkeye.
"There have been so many calls that were so bad," exclaimed the former World No.4.
In the end though, Andreescu prevailed 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 over the Brit who rose at the same time as Emma Raducanu but has yet to deliver on the early promise.
Next up for the former US Open champion though is Rebeka Masarova who will be her opponent in tomorrow's Last 16.
