Rafael Nadal is currently away from tennis and is recovering ahead of a potential final year in 2024 but has hit the headlines potentially for the wrong reasons.
Nadal was photographed posing with controversial spiritual leader Sadhguru on a week that doesn't see the Spaniard head to Wimbledon after recent surgery.
He is known for promoting pseudo science and his views are seen as controversial. The Indian guru posted a photo of the duo on social media calling him an inspiration.

But this did not go down well in the replies with tennis fans also using it as a dig at Novak Djokovic who of course refused to take the Covid vaccine and has been seen engaging with people involved in pseudo science previously.
"At least Rafa can match Djokovic in promoting right-wing charlatans," one wrote.
