Navratilova berates disgraced former cyclist Lance Armstrong on views surrounding trans athletes

Martina Navratilova is quite outspoken in her opposition to trans women competing with cis women and she berated disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong who shared his views on the topic.

There has been a lot of talk about trans women competing with women lately due to the fact that being born a male gives you biologically and factually a competitive advantage over cis women. It's not quite well understood as a topic yet because the amount of advantage could come down by how soon a person transitioned.

There was proof of that as a few trans women recently completely dominated the sport against regular cis women kind of proving that it is a thing. Even biologically speaking, there are difference in the musculature that allows trans women to produce better results than cis women. In any case, disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong shared his views on the topic on Twitter:

"Of all the controversial and polarizing subjects out there today, I'm not sure there are any as heated as the topic of Trans athletes in sport. Is there not a world in which one can be supportive of the transgender community and curious about the fairness of Trans athletes in sport yet not be labeled a transphobe or a bigot as we ask questions? Do we yet know the answers? And do we even want to know the answers?."

Navratilova berated the cyclist with her response:

"A natal male who cheated in sports going to speak to a natal male to talk about other natal males competing in natal female sports. Got it. I am sure Lance will fix it."

She's been quite outspoken for her views on the topic earning herself quite a bit of hate from people supporting the trans movement. She explained that she has no issues with trans people but there is a competitive advantage which is not fair and she's against that as an athlete and woman first.
