Corentin
Moutet mocks
Maria Sharapova in a post about
Nick Kyrgios, two days after
making fun of
Emma Raducanu.
The
24-year-old French tennis player remains active on social media, commenting on
the latest sports news and sharing his opinions on various topics. Just two
days ago,
Corentin Moutet mocked Emma Raducanu after she stated,
"sometimes I wish I'd never won the US Open."
Moutet
retweeted a news article about the young British star on Twitter:
“Sometimes
i wish i never won brest challenger,” world No. 79 wrote.
This time,
he responded to a post made by the ATP about Nick Kyrgios and his outbursts on
the tennis courts in a 15-second clip from the Netflix documentary "Break
Point," which showcases the 2022 season of several world tennis stars.
"Giving
big fines when we express ourselves on the court and then promoting tennis and
earning money on those moments.. kind of funny," Moutet wrote.
"Bestie,
you express yourself by cheating?," some fan respond him on Twitter.
The fan had
a profile picture of former world No. 1 Maria Sharapova, and Moutet responded
ironically. The 5-time Grand Slam champion was banned for drug use in 2016,
resulting in a 15-month suspension from the sport.
"Funny
that you talk about cheating when your profile picture is Sharapova," Moutet
respond.
Moutet has
had a tough year in 2023 and has only recorded two ATP-level victories. He won
in the first round of the Australian Open against Chinese player Wu Yibing and
in the first round of the French Open against his compatriot Arthur Cazaux. His
most recent appearance was in the Halle Open this week, where he suffered a
defeat in the first round against Nicolas Jarry, losing 6-3, 7-5.
