Paula Badosa is aiming to almost complete the unthinkable and return in time for Wimbledon next week despite a stress fracture of the spine prior to Roland Garros which could've ruled her out for three months.
Many expected Badosa to simply return ahead of the US Open but rejuvenated and seemingly ready after a recent relationship was confirmed with
Stefanos Tsitsipas, a familiar face also watched on and practiced with the Spaniard.
That being the father of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Apostolos who has received some criticism in the past for his coaching methods especially before on court coaching.
He was well known for incurring Stefanos' code violations to offer advice against his sons wishes with Jim Courier saying last year that it was 'helping more than helping'.
But Stefanos has not deviated from his fathers' coaching and it seems that Badosa will also benefit. It is also likely due to Tsitsipas playing in Mallorca so saves Badosa flying a coach out.
But she looked well and moved around the court showing no real signs of issues. Will she make Wimbledon, time will tell but she is at her first tournament supporting Tsitsipas since their relationship was fully confirmed.
