(VIDEO) Andreescu shows part two of ankle recovery including teary return to court

Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu suffered a horrible injury a few weeks ago at the Miami Open, but has since begun her road to recovery and seems to be in a good place.

The former World No.4 took to social media to update fans on her health, sharing footage of herself during various steps of her rehabilitation.

The video captured Andreescu as she partook in exercises to strengthen her ankle, which she injured by tearing two ligaments as she took a rough fall during her round of 16 match in Miami. Furthermore, Andreescu also included footage of her return to practice on the tennis court, with the 22-year old being on the verge of tears at being able to play again.

The 2019 US Open champion has been cleared to return to tennis, and will be competing at the ongoing Madrid Open.
