It has been a delightful week for tennis star Beatriz Haddad Maia, who not only celebrated her birthday this week but also cruised into the second round of the 2023 Roland Garros tournament.
The Brazilian made quick work of German veteran Tatjana Maria in their opening round match, surrendering just one game to record a 6-0 6-1 victory. However, the 14th seed had a second reason to celebrate, as she just turned 27.

Haddad Maia was startled by her team with a birthday cake, to which she seemed genuinely surprised. The Sao Paulo proceeded to lift the cake out of it's box, before thanking them as she beamed at the camera.
