Anastasia Potapova is a very fierce tennis player and she showed some of that when she finally defeated native player
Elisabetta Cocciaretto in Rome telling the crowd to calm down.
Potapova enjoys playing competitive matches and doesn't mind playing against the crowd. She had some moments with the Miami crowd when she stunned Coco Gauff not too long at the Miami Open and something similar happened yesterday against Cociaretto.
She was up 5-1 in the second set but allowed the Italian to battle back and make it 5-4. The crowd was going nuts cheering on their player however she wasn't able to fully complete the comeback which fell short as she lost her serve once more to seal the match for Potapova.
Booing
Italians passionately cheer on their player and they don't mind booing players either. Some light booing came from the crow when Potapova signaled to them to calm down before she shook hands with her opponent.
