Emma Raducanu had a short night's work at the 2024
Indian Wells Open (BNP Paribas Open) as the Brit moved through in a walkover after Dayana Yastremska had to retire injured.
Raducanu comforted the Ukrainian and gave her a hug as she left the court in tears only two months on from her epic Australian Open run. But as a result, there was a surplus of tennis balls and Raducanu instead of signing them for fans going off the court signed some and smashed them into the stands.
But it failed miserably as the former US Open champion's aim was off and one got stuck behind a fence. She still found it though and gave it to a young fan. Next up is either Aryna Sabalenka or Peyton Stearns who will play during the night in Tennis Paradise.
