Garbine Muguruza had a brilliant 2021 season that ended up being one of her best despite missing a large chunk of it due to an injury.
Garbine Muguruza missed one of the key parts of the tennis season in the clay season while also playing a very lackluster grass season after that. The Spanish player injured herself at a very bad time but still rallied to play a very good 2nd half of the season winning the WTA Finals in the end. Muguruza played very good tennis this year when healthy.
