China’s tennis star Qinwen Zheng has now appeared in McDonald’s
newest commercial in her country.
The 21-year-old is often regarded as the best young women’s
singles player coming from the Asian country currently playing in the circuit.
To enhance that reputation even further, Zheng has now appeared
in the fast food chain McDonald's new commercial in China.
The development will definitely
please Zheng
who would be hoping to find ways to recover from what proved to be a tough year
at the highest level.
The Shiyan-born played in the main draw of all four
Grand Slams in 2023 but managed to qualify for the third round or beyond just
once.
Her most impressive outing came in the US Open where she played
in the quarterfinal. However, her journey ended there as she lost to the
current world number one Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets with a score
of 6-1, 6-4.

Zheng is currently taking part in the Bank of
Communications Zhengzhou Open where she has already booked her place in the round
of 16 after defeating Ukraine’s Kateryna Volodko with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
She is now set to face Greece’s Maria Sakkari in the second
round of the competition on Wednesday.
