Video: Emma Raducanu greets fans in perfect Mandarin

After making history by capturing her maiden Grand Slam title as a qualifier at the 2021 US Open, British teenager Emma Raducanu will undoubtedly see a rise in popularity as fans are eager to learn more about the superstar.

Born to a Romanian father and Chinese mother, her family emigrated to England from Toronto when she was two years of age. Little was known about the 18-year old prior to her emergence at this year's Wimbledon, where she reached the fourth round.

However, following her victory over Leylah Fernandez at the US Open final, Raducanu has found herself being shuffled from the tennis courts to the TV circuit, as everyone wants to learn more about the new World No.23.

In an interview during her Cinderella US Open run, Raducanu displayed her command of Mandarin as she greeted her Chinese fans.
