Minaur highlighted his girlfriend Katie Boulter after her first WTA title at
2023 Nottingham Open.
6-year-old
Katie Boulter had the best week of her career, securing the WTA 250 title.
Boulter defeated her compatriot Jodie Anna Burrage 6-3, 6-3 to claim her first
tournament victory, without dropping a set throughout the week.
This is the
first all-British WTA final since Sue Barker defeated Virginia Wade in San
Francisco. Boulter's boyfriend, Alex de Minaur, took to social media to
congratulate the British player, who reached a career-high ranking of world No.
77.
“You are my
idol,” wrote De Minaur.
The
Australian also commented on the post that Boulter uploaded with the trophy.
“Not too sure
what’s more impressive the title or the biceps”
Boulter
will continue her preparation for Wimbledon this week and will face Chinese
qualifier Xiyu Wang.
