We had a bit of Brit-on-Brit crime at the Nottingham in Britain as Dart took exception to how Boulter celebrated after beating the former in straight sets 6-3 7-5.
It was an all-British affair at the
Nottingham Open between Dart and Boulter. A good match in two sets with the latter getting the win and moving on to the semi-final. It's been a good event for both as they contributed to British tennis history becoming two of the four quarter-finals at the event. It was the first time that a WTA event had four British players in the quarter-finals.
Still, one had to lose and it was Dart who didn't manage to play as well as she needed to in order to win. Boulter celebrated her win emphatically after the match and Dart didn't like it. Despite being quite familiar with each other due to the Davis Cup duties and stuff, they still had a bit of a tense moment at the net.
Dart found the celebration unneccesary while Boulter reminded her that she does it after match. Boulter said:
“It’s nothing personal. Mate, I do it every single match."
Nothing came out of it with the players parting ways easily in the end but still a bit of a tense moment between the two Brits. You don't see that often unless you go to a pub so there you go.
