The WTA Draw has finally been confirmed for the Cincinnati Open (also known as the Western & Southern Open) which will take place between August 14-20, 2023 in Mason, Ohio.
The final stop en route to the US Open, it is the last WTA 1000 before then with Iga Swiatek leading as top seed. She is into the semi-finals as of time of writing in Montreal and saw off Danielle Collins to do so. They will likely rematch in the second round. The World Number One gets the winner of her and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Second seed Aryna Sabalenka gets Magda Linette or a qualifier, while taking over as third seed, Jessica Pegula gets Bernarda Pera or a qualifier.
Elena Rybakina will face either Jelena Ostapenko or Karolina Pliskova in the second round. Top first round assignments include Victoria Azarenka - Barbora Krejcikova, Caroline Wozniacki v Elina Svitolina with the winner facing Daria Kasatkina or Peyton Stearns then potentially Aryna Sabalenka.
While Jennifer Brady faces Donna Vekic and Venus Williams will take on Veronika Kudermetova. Another stacked draw incoming in Cincinnati.
