Karolina Muchova keeps on winning and continuing to show why she is a force to be reckoned with continually in women's tennis. She breezed through her opener at the
Ningbo Open on Wednesday morning.
Muchova decided against playing in Wuhan last week. She has only just returned from a long term injury so is likely taking it easy in terms of her schedule instead of overexerting especially with a wrist injury.
But she also encountered another issue with rain delays being on the cards. She was supposed to play on Tuesday but it was postponed due to rain with a break as a result to watch her good friend Priscilla Hon lose to Anna Kalinskaya.
But she returned to win the opening set in just 36 minutes. She sealed a break and claimed it 6-3. The second set was a lot more squeaky when it came to winning through as Gadecki troubled her going 3-1 up. But Muchova fought back to draw level at 3-3 before the Aussie gained the impetus again. Only for Muchova to continue to fight. She made it 4-4.
Then with a tense conclusion awaiting or another third set, she sealed the win 7-5 in the end to move through. She now faces Jaqueline Cristian and given the lack of depth this week will be one of the favourites for the title.
