The current top-3 of the WTA not only stands out for having the players with the best results over the past 52 weeks but also for each of them demonstrating their elite level in Grand Slam draws for several years.

Since the beginning of the decade in 2020, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff are the players who have reached at least the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam the most. Below, we review their major achievements in Grand Slam main draws and see how the podium shapes up.

3. Coco Gauff – Eight Quarterfinals appearances

The American earns a spot on the podium thanks to her remarkable consistency in majors and the hierarchy she has established at a young age. Currently ranked World No. 3, she has reached at least the quarterfinals 8 times in major tournaments this decade.

During this period, she won the 2023 US Open and reached the final of the 2022 French Open (losing to Iga Swiatek). She has also made two semifinal appearances and four quarterfinals. The only tournament where she has not progressed past the Round of 16 is Wimbledon, where a deep run is still pending.

However, her total Grand Slam main draw record is 59-18, with a standout performance in recent years—since the start of 2023, she has recorded 34 wins and only seven losses.

2. Iga Swiatek – Ten Quarterfinals appearances

The 5-time Grand Slam champion was always going to be part of this ranking, with an incredible success rate when reaching the later rounds. In 2020, she made her first major breakthrough by unexpectedly winning Roland Garros, without dropping a set, at just 19 years old. Since then, Swiatek has dominated the tournament, winning 4 titles in the last 5 editions.

However, Swiatek's consistency extends beyond the clay-court major, as she has reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam 10 times, adding 5 titles, 1 semifinal, and 4 quarterfinal appearances to her resume. Her record since 2020 is 82-14, making her the player with the most victories in Grand Slam draws, and she has never been eliminated before the third round in any of her 20 major main draw appearances this decade.

1. Aryna Sabalenka – Eleven Quarterfinal appearances

The 2-time Grand Slam champion has been the most consistent in majors over the last 5 years, thanks in large part to an impressive streak that began in early 2023, which includes her last eight Grand Slam main draw appearances, all reaching at least the quarterfinals.

She has won three titles—two at the Australian Open (2023, 2024) and one at the US Open (2024). Additionally, she reached the final at Flushing Meadows in 2023, along with five semifinals and two quarterfinals, including this season in Melbourne, meaning her record can still improve.

Since the start of 2020, Sabalenka holds a 73-14 record in major main draws, a period during which she missed Wimbledon twice: in 2022 due to the ban on Russian and Belarusian players, and in 2024 because of injury. The last time Sabalenka lost before the quarterfinals was at the 2022 French Open, where she was the 7th seed but could only reach the third round, losing to 28th seed Camila Giorgi 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
