The 2024
Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament will run from January 29-February 4, as WTA will be moving on from the
Australian Open to tackle the long WTA season ahead.
A WTA 500 event, the Upper Austria Ladies Linz features several impressive former champions, with Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka all having lifted the trophy at some point in their distinguished careers. The hardcourt event will consist of a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles event.
This year's edition will not be lacking star-power, as reigning Wimbledon champion
Marketa Vondrousova is expected to compete at the event. Additionally, the resurgent
Elina Svitolina will be present, as well as Italy's Camila Giorgi. It comes as no surprise that the
prize money pool will be a lucrative $922,573, with the winner taking home $142,000, in addition to 500 WTA ranking points. Below is the full breakdown and distribution of points.
