After two weeks of spectacular tennis in Miami we have a new
WTA Race update and it's
Iga Swiatek in the lead with Sakkari, Badosa and Collins in the pursuit.
Everything in the world of WTA tennis is currently revolved around Iga Swiatek and for very good reason. The Polish player has dominated the sunshine double winning both Indian Wells and Miami. She debuted as world number one today and in the WTA Race update, she is also at number one. Her lead is immense as she has twice the number of points that the 2nd placed Sakkari has.
The Greek moved from number three to number two with
Paula Badosa now ranked number 3.
Danielle Collins also moved up with the American number four. Jessica Pegula moved up six spots to number 9 which is the first time she has ever been inside the Race top 10.
Naomi Osaka is not far behind at number 11 after jumping 37 spots.
Belinda Bencic is a nother high riser jumping 33 spots to number 14. Check out the top 30 below.
