WTA Rankings Update: Aryna Sabalenka ties with Angelique Kerber in latest milestone, Rybakina and Raducanu face ranking drop

The WTA Rankings have been updated for another week albeit there has been very minimal changes with all to come over the next few. Aryna Sabalenka though continues as World No.1 and has tied with Angelique Kerber all time.

Sabalenka currently sits on 34 weeks overall as World No.1 which is level with the German. Her next player in sight is Amelie Mauresmo on 39 but she is now into the top 15 all time.

Moyuka Uchijima was the main ranking drop and goes down nine spots this week to World No.60. As a result the likes of Veronika Kudermetova, Camila Osorio, Naomi Osaka and Sonay Kartal all shift up a spot.

Same can be said for Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in World No.73 going down four, this has directly benefited such players as Miami standout Alexandra Eala who returns to action this week in Oeiras.

But onto this next week and Elena Rybakina will plummet out of the top 10 albeit only one spot for the first time in two years after choosing country over her own ranking.

She helped Kazakhstan qualify for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals as the standout player from the line-up. Jessica Pegula, Emma Raducanu and Iga Swiatek all entered but withdrew.

But as a result of playing in Brisbane, Rybakina is not in the position to defend her Stuttgart title this week so moves out of the top 10. Marta Kostyuk too despite playing this next week will have to defend a final so has plummeted 10 spots on the live rankings down to World No.35.

Marketa Vondrousova not playing at all means she falls even further down to World No.63. While Emma Raducanu who defends very minimal until the grass has gone down two spots to sit just nestled in the top 50.

She was set to play Rouen over this next week but instead has decided for rest and a training block. Ordinarily she plays Stuttgart but albeit while not confirmed, it seems her ambassador role with Porsche is all but up with her not being invited to their flagship tournament.
