The Men's draw concludes it's first week of action later today with a bumper session featuring Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic both in tough tests.
Djokovic firstly will renew his rivalry with Stan Wawrinka. The latter prevailed in the 2016 US Open final which as a result saw him claim his third Grand Slam title.
Fast forward a couple of years and while Wawrinka has slid down slightly; Djokovic is still at the top but looking at their head to heads, the Swiss ace has produced when it matters against him; including the 2015 Australian Open Quarter-Finals and 2015 Roland Garros final.
Federer kicks off proceedings though; against No.15 seed David Goffin. The five-time US Open champion leads their Head to Heads 8-1; including a win this year at the final in Halle.
He seems as well to be coming into some good form having dispelled Dan Evans dominantly in the third round. Last year though he bowed out of the tournament at this point to John Millman; while Goffin is a more higher ranked opponent, that might cross his mind.
Goffin on the other hand reached the Wimbledon Quarter-Finals; as well as losing to Daniil Medvedev in Cincinnati; so especially on the latter is in good form on the hard courts.
Speaking of Medvedev, he also continues charge as the most in-form player at the moment when he takes on Dominik Koepfer who is having the week of his life.
The Russian has courted a bad boy tag due to his post match interview where he told the crowd he gets better when they heckle him and so he will hope to feed off that energy again.
Finally Grigor Dimitrov and Alex de Minaur will face off. Both players are at crossroads in their career, Dimitrov is just coming back onto the tour after injury and will look to use this week to make inroads while De Minaur who has won two hard court titles; he will be hoping this week will be landmark for him.
