2019 US Open Women's Order of Play: Sunday September 1st

Serena Williams of course will take centre stage on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Next up for the 23-time Grand Slam champion will be 22nd seed Petra Martic.

Martic has come through pretty unscathed so far last defeating 12th seed Anastasija Sevastova but facing Serena is another test entirely.

The match of the day though has to come in the second tie on the show court and that is Elina Svitolina, the number 5 seed against one of the main favourites for the title in Madison Keys. Both are in really good form so it should go the distance.

Finally Ashleigh Barty will face off against Qiang Wang, the number 18 seed and one of the intriguing ties of the round is Johanna Konta taking on Karolina Pliskova.

Konta is looking good again having reached the semi-finals at the French Open and last eight at Wimbledon and the same can be said for at Flushing Meadows.

The record between the pair though sees Pliskova 6/7 in the head to head including at the Italian Open final in May but the Brit will look to avenge that second on the Louis Armstrong Stadium later.
