Ashleigh Barty has been dumped out of the 2019 US Open at the fourth round stage by Qiang Wang in a 2-6, 4-6 defeat.
Barty who was seen by many as being a potential winner of this year's tournament; based on form was not at her best by any means throughout the contest against the 18th seed.
This included 39 unforced errors from the Australian; she also failed to convert all nine of her break points.
For Wang, it doesn't get easier as she will face either six-time champion Serena Williams or Petra Martic who will also play today.
