Another tennis tournament has fallen by the wayside due to the Coronavirus outbreak with the 2020 Miami Open now cancelled, it has been revealed.

Indian Wells was the first tournament to face this fate at the start of the week, with players such as Jamie Murray admitting concern for the rest of the season.
The tournament was due to begin on March 23 at the Hard Rock Arena; but a statement released by Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez confirmed it had been suspended; alongside other mass gatherings in the area.
Other events such as the Monte Carlo Open on Easter weekend; as well as a WTA tournament in Stuttgart could yet be cancelled meaning that the clay court season could fall to ruin before it even fully begins.
All tournaments could even be stopped till May; in the form of the Madrid Open meaning that there will be doubts about the French Open and Wimbledon in the coming months.
Andy Murray was a player hoping to return to action in the event; but he will now likely push towards Roland Garros and Wimbledon if they take place; with further smaller tournaments being cancelled nearly everyday at the moment due to the outbreak.
