The 2021 Belgrade Open (see also Serbia Open) will be the 2nd ATP event held in Serbia in 2021 after the country spent 9 years without an ATP level event.
The event will run from May 23rd till May 29th and will serve as great preparation for the Roland Garros which will start one day after the conclusion of this event. Similar to the 2021 Serbia Open it will be held at the Novak Tennis Center in Belgrade. The event is an ATP 250 event and will be headlined by world number one Novak Djokovic.
The top seed is Novak Djokovic who will have a 1st round BYE as well as the 2nd seeded Gael Monfils. Basilashvili and Mannarino as the 3rd and 4th seed will also have 1st round BYE's. Djokovic will either face Gerasimov or a qualifier in the 2nd round with Basilashvili as the potential seeded opponent in the later stages of the event.
Gael Monfils will play either a qualifier in the 2nd round or fellow Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech. while the seeded player in his half of the draw is Adrian Mannarino. He will potentially face Delbonis in the 3rd round which is a very tough matchup considering the form of Delbonis on clay lately.
