The 2021
Moselle Open in Metz is bringing us a great tennis event starting on Monday 20th of September and running until the 26th of September.
The top seed of the event is
Hubert Hurkacz who will be looking to win another trophy in 2021 especially after failing to do so since the Miami Masters which was his breakthrough. He is also in the hut for a place at the Nitto ATP Finals and points are needed. The draw is a fair one but a quarterfinal matchup against Humbert or
Andy Murray might be on the table.
Speaking of Murray, the British player received a wild card entry into the event but also a very tough draw. In the first round, he will face Ugo Humbert who is an excellent indoor hard court player. If Murray wins he might face the aforementioned Hurkacz in the quarterfinal.
The 2nd seed is Pablo Carreno Busta who disappointed with an early exit at the US Open which severely hurt his overall ranking as he defended a semifinal. Here he has a tricky draw with either Struff or Ymer in the 2nd round as well as a potential semifinal vs
Gael Monfils.
Monfils will face Cecchinato in the 2nd round which is a winnable match after which the first seed in his section is Nikoloz Basilashvili. Monfils played well in North America and he will fancy his chances here. Check out the full draw below.
