2021 National Bank Open ATP seeds announced with Medvedev leading the field

With the National Bank Open (Rogers Cup) set to begin in a week's time, the organizers have announced top seeds for one of the biggest events of the summer.

With the ATP edition being held in Toronto, Tennis Canada released the names of the seeded players, and World No.2 Daniil Medvedev will be the top seed at this year's event. Having reached the final in 2019, the Russian will hope to claim the title this year. However, he will have to go through the 2019 champion, Rafael Nadal, who has won this tournament on five different occasions and is seeded second at the event.

World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas is the tournament's third seed, whereas recent Olympic Games gold medalist Alexander Zverev will be seeded fourth.

Two-time champion Roger Federer will make his return to hard courts as the seventh seed, with hometown favorites Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime seeded 8th and 13th respectively.

The National Bank Open will be held from August 6-15 2021.
