The Cordoba Open is the first clay court tournament of the season, and also the opening leg of the Latin American swing, fondly referred to as the "Golden Swing"

The ATP 250 event made it's debut in 2019, and takes place in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. It is scheduled to run from January 31-February 6, 2022 and will feature some of the Tour's best clay-court specialists.
Leading the pack is top seed Diego Schwartzman, who will be hoping to make an impression in front of his home crowd. Joining the Argentine is 2020 US Open champion Dominic Thiem, who will be making his 2022 ATP season debut after taking several months off due to injury.
Christian Garin will also be making an appearance at the event, as the Chilean hopes to reclaim the title he won in 2020. Defending champion Juan Manuel Cerundolo is also scheduled to compete at the event, with the hopes of retaining his title.
