"It will be a war" says Alex Corretja on Medvedev v Nadal Australian Open final

Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal will contest the 2022 Australian Open final and tennis analyst Alex Corretja believes it will be epic.

Both Medvedev and Nadal did really well to reach the final of the event, besting their opponents rather easily in the semifinal. Nadal and Medvedev have played the most consistent tennis before and the final should be a good one. Eurosport tennis analyst and former pro Alex Corretja agree:

"It will be war. It will be epic. They will play very long rallies. They played a slam final a couple of years ago at the US Open. They know each other."

Many think in a very similar manner to Corretja and believe the final to be a worthy one. The US Open final they played was a brilliant one where Nadal jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before Medvedev battled back to make it 2-2 and force a decider one. Corretja said:

"Daniil has got the experience now and he knows he can win a major and that gives you extra power to believe you can do it again."

Corretja refrained from picking a winner but it's presumed he will side with his compatriot Nadal despite Medvedev being the favourite for many.
