The 2022
US Open kicks off on August 29, with several of the best players in the world competing to capture the final Grand Slam of the season.
Most of the ATP Top 10 will be competing at Flushing Meadows, with a few exceptions like
Novak Djokovic and
Alexander Zverev.
However, World No.1 and defending champion
Daniil Medvedev will be present to defend his title, and should he reach the quarterfinals, will face off against sixth-seeded Canadian star
Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Rafael Nadal is seeded second at the event, and the 22-time Grand Slam champion could face Britain's
Cameron Norrie in a battle of the left-handers, should both men reach the final 8.
Third seed
Carlos Alcaraz will be hoping to make his breakthrough at Flushing Meadows, but the Miami champion will have to battle past eighth-seed Polish big-hitter
Hubert Hurkacz in a potential quarterfinal matchup.
Rounding out the top eight are fourth seed
Stefanos Tsitsipas and fifth seed
Casper Ruud, with both men hoping to leave their mark at this year's US Open. Ruud reached the final of Roland Garros earlier in the year, but was defeated by Nadal in straight sets.
