The Stuttgart Open is set to take place between June 12-18 as the grass court season is set to begin fully in the road to Wimbledon.
As ever, TennisUpToDate will preview the action with Nick Kyrgios, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe among those involved.

Return of The King

Kyrgios will make his return for the first time since Tokyo last year which saw the entertaining Aussie lose to Fritz in the Quarter-Finals. He did not return for the rest of the season.
In January, he attempted to play the Australian Open but after playing an exhibition with his enemy turned friend, Novak Djokovic, he pulled out with injury.
From there, he required knee surgery which has seen him out for the rest of the season until now.
Attempts to play at Indian Wells, Miami and even surprisingly (mainly at the request of girlfriend Costeen Hatzi), Roland Garros fell by the wayside.
But grass is a favoured surface for Kyrgios of course reaching the Wimbledon final last year and is a tournament which should have seen him set up ranking wise but after the points cull, it was a mere maiden Grand Slam final.
The rise of Kyrgios begins again. But from one couple who share most of their lives to two more that will be present in Stuttgart.

Step forward Tsitsidosa

Fritz of course is well known for his relationship with Morgan Riddle who documents her life with the American on social media including TikTok.
But step forward Tsitsidosa with Stefanos Tsitsipas taking a late wildcard into the tournament after his exit at Roland Garros.
Tsitsipas has hit the headlines over the past week but not for his tennis, more his relationship with another player in Paula Badosa.
The new Tsitsidosa could yet rival G.E.M.S Life (Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina), but while he has had time to recoup in Dubai, it is back to business.
With Badosa recovering from injury, she could be present in Stuttgart to support Tsitsipas.
Frances Tiafoe and Matteo Berrettini are another two leading names involved this week with the latter being the defending champion and making his long awaited return from injury also.
