After a short grass season, tennis moves back to clay to finish off the European summer calendar as we'll see players like Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jan-Lennard Struff and Roberto Bautista Agut play.
The 2023 edition of the Swiss Open in Gstaad will be the 55th edition running from July 17th to the 23rd. Casper Ruud is the defending champion having won the event two years in a row but he won't be back this year to play which means we'll have a new king in the Swiss city. Auger-Aliassime is the top seed and in need of playing time and wins so perhaps he might put together a great run.
Jan-Lennard Struff will be a tough player to beat in the altitude as will Bautista Agut and Shapovalov. It's a pretty good entry list of players as we'll have plenty of top 50 or better-ranked players who have a lot of experience on clay. After this series of events the Tour shifts to hard courts so it's the last chance for some of these clay specialists to get some points.
Check out the full entry list below though we need to see whether some players like Wawrinka get a wild card entry. He's not on the entry list as of now.
