The line-up for the 2024 ATP Finals is starting to take shape, with just a few tournaments left. Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev have been qualified for several weeks, and Daniil Medvedev joined them this week. Now, only four spots remain, with Taylor Fritz leading the charge.
Although the ATP has only announced the first three qualifiers, this week, Live-tennis, a non-official site that updates ATP and WTA rankings, confirmed Medvedev’s qualification. He has 4,820 points, while the cut-off currently sits at 4,810 as of October 21, 2024.

Four places up for grabs in ATP Finals

Medvedev's qualification is yet to be officially confirmed by the ATP, leaving four spots still up for grabs. This week sees the ATP 500 Basel Open and Vienna Open, where several contenders will be battling for points to secure a tight race for qualification. Next week at the Paris Masters, those still in the running will have one last chance to seal their spot.
Next in line with a strong chance of qualifying is US Open runner-up Taylor Fritz (4,290 points) and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic (3,910), whose season highlights include finals at Wimbledon and the Shanghai Open, along with semifinals at the Australian Open and Monte-Carlo Masters.
The last two qualifying spots appear to be the most open. At the moment, Casper Ruud (3,845) and Andrey Rublev (3,620) are holding onto the final positions, both competing this week in Basel, though several other players could still overtake them.
Alex De Minaur (3,355) remained in the top 8 of the Race for much of the year, but injuries and a lack of consistency in recent months have left him in 9th place. This week, he's the second seed in Vienna, giving him a good chance to regain ground.
Further back is the recent Stockholm Open champion Tommy Paul (3,135), runner-up Grigor Dimitrov (3,100), and Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas (2,875). They are all competing this week, chasing 500 points, while at the Paris Masters, any of them with a good run could sneak into the qualifying zone
