As tennis players prepare for
Roland Garros, the
ATP will move to the clay courts of Lyon, France for the 2024
Lyon Open. The seventh edition of the tournament will be held from May 19-25, 2024.
An ATP 250 event, the Lyon Open will see 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams compete for their respective titles. The tournament has been won by home favorites, with Jo Wilfried Tsonga lifting the inaugural edition in 2017 and Benoit Paire prevailing in 2019. Next gen star
Arthur Fils won the most recent edition last year, and the Frenchman is hoping to delight fans as he attempts to defend his title this year.
The local fans will have more home players to support, as Frenchman
Ugo Humbert is scheduled to compete at the event as the top seed. Former top 10 star and French veteran Gael Monfils is also slated to appear at the event, alongside Kazakh
Alexander Bublik and American
